I first saw Sean Astin in 'The Goonies'' (1985) I was 16, he was about 13 years old, probably a bit younger. He was born on Feb. 25, 1971 in Santa Monica, California, U.S.A..

So I think this is when my obsession began, after 'Goonies''

I watched him grow up as I did...and I have to confess, I was GUTTED when he got married. I had the date written in my diary and prayed I'd hear that they'd split up so I could go to America and marry him.

Then I went off and did other things and while I still kept an ear out for new Sean Astin films, I got on with my life, my fancy was taken by other objects of desire, and sadly, I have to admit, he didn't make that many films that 'crossed the pond' to the UK...So I often wondered what he was up to.

One night at I sat watching the Oscars on the television I heard the announcer say his name, he'd made a short film, which I've never seen. he and his wife won an Oscar nomination. Whoa, I was amazed, and delighted for him.

In ''Memphis Belle'' Sean played 'Rascal'

Looking at this image, I'm pretty sure he'd had his chest waxed....tut tut Sean... vanity!

Drop the towel, Sean, drop it!

A few years ago I heard that Sean was going to be in the Lord Of The Rings trilogy.

I again have to make a confession;

I've not seen ANY of the films.

I'm sure I will one day, but I think I prefer to see all three together than have to wait to see one after another.

I am assured that I will enjoy them, and that Sean's performance as Sam is fabulous.

One of my favourite images of Sean.

Thank You, Do Come Again...
